# Atlas for Agents

> Independent research measuring how much Italian accommodation an AI agent can
> actually reach. A measurement, not a product. One coverage is published: the
> hotels of Puglia, 1,117 registrations, measured on 2026-08-30 and 2026-08-31.

The question is not whether a property can be booked — all of them can, through
OTA platforms, direct online booking, or email and phone. It is **which of those
channels each property actually has, and which an AI agent can use directly**: to
establish the basic facts on its own, to find its way to the property's own site,
and to learn which channel if any yields real availability, prices and conditions.

Measured over a universe defined by law — accommodation entered in Italy's
regional registers — rather than by commercial distribution. The first coverage is
the hotels of one Italian region (Puglia): every registration in the segment was
attempted, and every outcome is recorded, including the failures.

Of the 1,117: 446 have a booking surface an agent can query and 671 do not; 146
refuse this crawler; 147 have no web presence at all; 1,058 coordinates carry a
stated precision, median 363 m, and the other 59 say the precision is unknown and
why. 87 corrections are published, each naming what was wrong, when it was
found and with which instrument.

This is not a source of room rates, of availability for given dates, or of booking
conditions. No record carries a price and no placeholder stands in for one. What
is served instead is the route to the answer: the booking surface itself, and
whether an agent can put a question to it.

This site does not disallow any user-agent, including AI and training crawlers. A
project measuring publishers who refuse machine access has no standing to refuse
it.

A property that refuses is recorded as refusing. That is a result and not a
penalty, and 146 of them are recorded that way. If a record about a property is
wrong, write to info@atlasforagents.com: corrections are published, numbered and
dated, and the served values cite them.
